![]() ![]() Great slots variety on the floor and a very clean casino. All of the (few) employees I interacted with were very polite, professional and nice. I did manage to get a nice slot hit on the very first machine I played which was nice. Then later, on a classic Buffalo machine, I won a nice $720 hit and when I left to go check in at Resorts I walked out of the GN almost $1,000 ahead which was great after only playing about 3 hours. Unfortunately, since this visit was only a few hours, I can't comment on the hotel rooms, dining options or much in the service department as I was only here for a few hours. The GN had a generous mix of slots and I think their casino would appeal to slots players such as myself as well as fans of modern slots. I was very pleased with the casino floor. They had a very nice mix of slots to play.As a regular casino patron on the east coast it seems like it is continually getting harder and harder to find a casino with a decent percentage of older slots.I prefer the older slots to the modern "themed" slots as they usually pay much better. As primarily a slots player, whenever I go to a casino for the first time (or if it has been years since I was there) I always walk the casino floor and just generally check it out.Seeing where the smoking sections are, checking the overall floor mix of the types of slots, denominations available, perusing the high limit section, etc. Since it had been years since I was here I got a new, updated players card. There was no line at all and the employee was very nice and polite. ![]() Immediately upon entering the casino the first thing that I immediately noticed was how clean and well kept the casino appeared.Granted, it was mid-morning and maybe the foot traffic hadn't come in yet, but it was very clean. Figured I'd see what was new/different at GN. ![]() I say re-visit because it had been years since I visited this casino. A few months ago I broke up my normal AC routine. In doing so, I had a few hours to kill in between checking out of The Tropicana and checking in at The Resorts.I decided to head off the boardwalk and re-visit The Golden Nugget for a few hours. ![]()
